Started with a simple frustration
Finnian and I were working at one of those big financial firms back in 2018. You know the type—everything needed three approvals, clients got generic advice, and honestly? We felt like we were reading from scripts half the time.
One afternoon over coffee, we sketched out what an advisory practice could look like if we actually put clients first. Not in the marketing brochure way, but genuinely. Where conversations didn't feel like sales pitches. Where someone could ask a "dumb question" without feeling judged.
By March 2019, we'd opened our first office in East Maitland. Small team. Big ambitions. And a promise to ourselves that we'd never make investing more complicated than it needs to be.
